Hard to follow in audio form Review by A reading lady
Overall Ali Smith writes about characters that are quirky and unusual, and this book is no different. The strange situation of a dinner guest taking up lodging, uninvited and fortressed against removal, is unnerving. The fact that the story is driven by dialogue and the fact that the speaker must be identified each time makes listening to this book difficult, frustrating and ultimated unsatifying. Some books are meant to be read on one's own; this is one of them.
