  1. Deals with a complex subject in a surprisingly understandable and interesting way. Review by NancyYL

We listened to this on a car trip with our two college aged sons. Although the book is fairly technical and deals with the structure and functions of the brain, it was very well laid out and not at all difficult to understand. In fact we all found it to be extremely interesting and enlightening. We recommended it to a friend we visited who is a teacher. Anyone who teaches preschool or early elementary or is studying to be a teacher or is a parent of young children should read this book. But anyone who reads would find it interesting. We dropped one of our sons off at his college because he has a summer job there and HE KEPT THE BOOK! (The author does spend a lot of time in her introduction explaining how the book is laid out. You would not miss anything but skipping past the introduction) (Posted on 7/8/10)
