Product Review (submitted on January 30, 2012):

I've been reading about the beats since high school. It's so wonderful to find a book that fills a gap in the already published works and to feel that Henderson finally gets a break and a truthful representation. The interview material is well-edited to feel natural but still easily readable and the biographical and background information is well-written and informative.

What excited me most, however, was the excellent production of this audio book. Vanessa Hart does a simply stupendous job reading the interview material. I feel like she had a harder job with this than with a typical book, because it's harder to be convincing when you're reading another person's real, spoken words. Hart's performance makes you feel like you're listening to a friend tell you a story, you believe she she did these things and felt these emotions.

I'm disabled and rely on audio books, listening to two or three every week. I know just how many mediocre and simply dreadful readers there are, and how often the publishers just don't seem to care about finding an appropriate reader who makes the book more enjoyable. It makes me doubly appreciative both for Hart's excellent work and for HighBridge's concern for putting out a great product.

Stephen Bowlby is a good reader as well, but the star of this production is Vanessa Hart.
