Author Bio

Garrison Keillor is America’s favorite storyteller. For more than 40 years, as the host of A Prairie Home Companion, he has captivated millions of listeners with his weekly News from Lake Wobegon monologues, original sketches, and musical performances from a multitude of genres. A Prairie Home Companion is heard on hundreds of public radio stations, as well as America One, the Armed Forces Networks, Sirius Satellite Radio, and via a live audio webcast. He is a bestselling author and has been honored with Grammy, ACE, and Peabody awards.

Fred Newman is an actor, writer, musician and sound designer for film and TV. He has created voices and sounds for dozens of movies including Gremlins I & II, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Practical Magic. Fred has received two Emmy nominations for his work on PBS's Between the Lions, and he has been a featured performer on A Prairie Home Companion since 2002.
