FAQs

For general help, see the Help link.

  • Will your digital audio titles play on my device?
Some HighBridge titles are MP3 files (format listed as "Digital Audio (MP3)"), which play on all devices; others are digital rights-managed Windows Media Audio files (format listed as "Digital Audio (WMA)"). Please check the information provided by your device's manufacturer to determine if WMA files are compatible.

  • How do I download a title?
    Please see How to Download.

  • Are the audio excerpts on your website indicative of the quality of the audio I am purchasing?
No, not necessarily. They have been compressed (lower sound quality) than the CD editions but the downloadable editions are further compressed so that they can be more quickly downloaded and experienced. The lower the "bit rate" of a file, the lower the sound quality, although the quality loss is not always readily apparent. Most sound clips are from 56k to 128k compression, whereas Digital Audio titles for purchase are delivered at 48k and the equivalent compression for Audio CD is 312k. Also, the sound clips are in the mp3 format; some Digital Audio titles for purchase are in the DRM-protected WMA format, others are in the MP3 format.
